Interested in becoming a VOLUNTEER PICKUP TRUCK DELIVERY DRIVER?
Process:
We will send out an email from the list of drivers seeing who is available to help. With that list, we’ll match you up with a micro-nursery host (trying to find someone in your general area) and send an email confirming your delivery. At any point, you can say you no longer are available and no sweat, we’ll assign someone else! We try to limit deliveries to only a few per driver and have a pretty good network of volunteers to be able to do so!
Pickup Truck Qualifications:
Be willing to volunteer your time and gas to make planting soil deliveries to Micro-Nursery sites in the greater Seattle Area in spring (requires a pick up truck without a cap or a utility trailer). We try to cap it to less than 3 deliveries per driver!
Be willing to volunteer your time and gas to pick up finished seedlings from Micro-Nurseries in the fall and deliver them to a restoration site in the greater Puget Sound area. The restoration orgs are sometimes further out (45 mins - 1.5 hours away).
