Why Create Micro-Nurseries?

GIF really has 3 goals:

1. Assist Habitat Restoration Organizations by delivering high quality native plant seedlings to their restoration sites at no cost.

2. Provide citizens a way to directly contribute to efforts to restore habitats and the native species that depend on them.

3. Introduce citizens to the multitude of non-profit organizations who are carrying out the difficult, complex work of restoring habitat. The hope is that this will educate people and create greater public awareness of this work as well as create political and economic support for the habitat restoration organizations.
